You will be able to
- Read original and actual estimates on any item
- Understand how days taken set actual story points
- Use the estimation accuracy report and its trend
Step by step
- Original is kept Item › Estimate: original and actual
The first points given to a story, or the first size given to an epic or feature, is kept as the original. - Actual from days taken Story › Estimate: original and actual
When team work is done, its working days set the actual points: 1 day = 1, up to 3 = 3, up to 5 = 5, up to 8 = 8. If that differs, the estimate is updated and flagged. - Features and epics update themselves Feature or epic › Estimate: original and actual
Their actual size comes from the story points underneath, across every product an epic reaches: a feature S up to 15, M up to 30, L up to 40; an epic S up to 60, M up to 150, L above. They update as work is broken down and done. - Report and trend Work › Reports › Estimation accuracy
Every work type shows how much was on estimate, under or over; the trend shows if it is improving; flagged items are listed.
